Good morning friends, followers and passers by, are we all getting excited? only 25 days to Christmas.  I do hope you can all find a little time this month to enter a twinchie into this month's challenge which is "Christmas".

Here are a few fun Christmas twinchies to get us into the festive spirit,  3D Santa and Snowman using distress inks, Promarkers, and of course lots of glitter.

I love this little dog stamp which was free with a magazine last year,  the idea for the twinchies came from watching my dog who saw snow for the first time and was fascinated with the falling snowflakes.  The mouse with the sock was another image from a magazine which I used on childrens' Christmas cards, I just had  to make three twinchies with it.

I will be back on the 15th December with the reminder post, looking forward to seeing your Christmas twinchies.

The challenge will run from 9.00 am on 1st December and finish at 9.00 am UK time 31stDecember.  Place your entries here:

Anything Goes but We Would Like You To Show Us Your Bling

Good morning twinchie fans and everyone out in blogland, another month and a new Show Us Your Twinchies Challenge. Last month's Halloween Twinchie entries were fantastically spooky, thank you all for your entries and without further ado the winner is.....

 Number 3 - Chrissie

I picked the winner using Random Org (see a working version in the sidebar) but as yet have not worked out how to get the picture of the winning number into my blog post, any suggestions would be most welcome!

Congratulations Chrissie, take your well earned winners badge from the side bar, your winning twinchie can be seen in our winners gallery.

This month we want you to show us your bling, any subject you like but with a little bit of glitz.  Here are a few twinchies to get you going using some of those glitzy freebies from magazines and lots of Glamour Dust.

I don't know about you but I seem to have a vast amount of stick on crystals and sequins which have been gathered over the years, usually freebies from magazines.  The above twinchies have at least used up a few.

These CAS twinchies use glamour Dust, a plain and simple stamped image highlighted with the glitzy glitter.

And finally a few feathers, glitter, gems and sparkly miri card.

You don't have to add glitz but as Christmas is approaching it would be nice to have some sparkly twinchies to get us in the mood.

The challenge will run from 9.00 am on 1st November and finish at 9.00 am UK time 30th November.  Place your entries here:

Midway reminder -Twinchies Halloween Challenge

Good afternoon one and all, have you made your Halloween Twinchies yet?  Why not make a 2" x 2" piece of Halloween artwork and enter it into the challenge.  Here are a few twinchies and some ideas on how to use them in your crafting.

Today I am using digital images and Halloween stickers (borrowed from the childrens' craft boxes).  The images are from Pink Petticoat and The Digi Stamp Boutique, coloured with Promarkers and Distress inks.  My idea for using my twinchies was motivated by a request for Halloween cards, party invitations and gift/trick or treat bags.  Here is what I came up with.

My twinches were created with children in mind and I used some bought Halloween stickers to put on my twinchies bases. These were then made into tags to add to gift bags/boxes.

A tutorial for the bags can be found over at my Designs for Occasions Blog, pop over and take a look they are so easy to make and would be ideal for Christmas decorated in a festive manner of course.

Autumn and Autumn Colours

Good morning twinchie fans.  Another month has flown by and here is September's twinchie challenge which is Autumn and Autumn Colours.  But on to last month's Holiday Destinations Home and Abroad Challenge, there was an excellent selection of entries last month, thank you ladies for showing us your twinchies.  This month we have two winners, I have had two grandchildren staying and let them pick a number randomly out of a hat,  and our winners are .....

Number 1 - Christine
and
Number 9 - Janet Swanlady21

Congratulations ladies, take your winners badge from the side bar, your winning twinchies can be seen in our winner's gallery.

I just love autumn, the colours of the leaves changing, autumn fruits and the wildlife storing food before winter comes.  We have squirrels around who are frantically collecting acorns and hiding them.  The leaves are turning already this year and the garden has a mix of yellows, oranges, rusty colours and greens, the fruit and berries are developing and changing colour too, what a feast the birds will have this year.

Here are a few twinchies inspired by this very colourful season.

I coloured 4 twinchie bases with Autumn colours using distress inks, Tim Holts mini stamps were stamped in black Stazon onto acetate and fastened over the coloured twinchies.

I made a special Autumn twinchie wallet to hold all my Autumn twinchies, coloured with distress inks and stamped with the Tim Holtz stamps.  The acorn was cut out and the bottom half stuck down with sticky pads, the lid slides behind the acorn to fasten it.  You can find a tutorial on how to make the twinchie wallet HERE.

I also made a few twinchies to use on cards using distress inks and copper, gold and silver embossing powders.

I am looking forward to seeing your Autumnal twinchies and I will be back later in the month with some more ideas in the midway-reminder post.

The challenge will run from 1st September and finish at 9.00 am UK time 30th September.  Place your entries here:
